Award-Winning Senior Writer and Communications Specialist
Shawna grew up a stone’s throw outside of Boston, learned how to pronounce her r’s, removed wicked as an intensifier in her vocabulary, and moved to Texas as soon as she could.

She has a Bachelor of Science in Strategic Communication from Texas Christian University. She minored in writing and political science. When she moved from Fort Worth to Dallas in 2020, she couldn’t get a job (no surprise there). So, what’s a girl to do but get another degree during a global hiring freeze? She completed a two-year graduate program in one year at Southern Methodist University to obtain her Master of Art in Advertising. Only then, was she as employable as ever. After a short stint as an account executive, where she excelled at her job but felt a creative void inside, she ended up getting her first writing gig and the rest is history.
Her knack for researching and storytelling has helped her string words together to create meaningful impact for the brands she voices. She loves to learn and spends decent chunks of time outside her 9-5 consuming media on all sorts of topics. With an outgoing personality and a Bostonian spunk, she enjoys presenting her work and fostering relationships that propel her clients forward. When she’s not working, you can find her checking out the newest “it” restaurants and bars in Dallas, online shopping, walking with her dog, and/or drooling over the the latest out-of-budget Zillow listings in her area. She loves a martini like any Mad Man (or Woman) should. She’s a big proponent of the Oxford Comma, even if only in her personal life (it just makes sense *chef hand*).
